[Well hello there, residents of this fine barge. What you'll find on your screens, is a rather tiffed redhead, looking only just a little like she might be trying to bite her tongue. Without actually puncturing herself.]

Hi- Hello. My name is Virginia Potts, and I've been asked to come and .. work on this ship. [It's only a partial lie. She'd sought it out herself.] That being said, I've come as a warden, and am here to help.

[There's a moment of hesitance, her mouth opening to continue. But then it shuts. ... And she tries again.]

Is there a Tony Stark on the barge?

[Hi Pepper, have a Charles! Who is definitely curious about all this pinched expression-ing and also when are you in this crazy timeline. :|]

There is. I'm Charles Xavier, I'm- [Sorry Pepper there is NO GOOD WAY TO SAY THIS.] his warden. It's a pleasure to finally meet you.

[All in good time, little psychic. Also, in all honesty? She's not surprised to hear he has his own warden. She'd seen his name on the contact list, but hadn't heard from him yet and if you're his warden then he's alive and and and--]

His- Oh, I'm sorry. [Really, she is.] He's a bit of a handful. Nice to meet you, too. [Even if her smile is still a little tight.]

[Charles chuckles a little, because let's be real, if anyone here understands what it's like to have someone you care about a ridiculous amount on the other side of the fence here, while still understanding why they weren't a warden themselves, it's Charles.] It's alright, he's a very interesting man. I've enjoyed working with him thus far.

What brings you to the Barge?

It's something, working with him. [Despite the jab, she does sound fond. Really, really fond.]

Um. Because of Tony. [Right, and that's her truth for the day. ~~Not.~~] It's sort of personal.

I understand. [And he's very curious, as well as a little concerned about that, and he could pry, but he won't. People's distrust against mutants and people like them on the Barge have made him more cautious about barging in on just anyone, and he wants to foster a good relationship with Pepper.] Do you have any questions? I'd be happy to answer them, if someone hasn't already.

[Beyond the general what the hell is this place actually sort of thing, he figures she'll potentially want to know more about him before being comfortable with the knowledge that he's sort of Tony's keeper. It's what he's done with Erik's wardens, after all.]

[He'd be dead on for that one, actually. The bit about her wanting to know more about him. She's done a bit of research on the Barge already, as it is. As for the mutant .. thing. Well, time will tell, won't it?]

Nothing that I can think of off the top of my head. Still a bit ... Wound up. [But give her a minute.] Is there a destination here, or is it just a place for inmates to be held while they.. [What's the word.] Train?

As far as we know, there isn't. We occasionally "pull into port", which is really more like stepping off the ship into another world, but if there is an intended destination, the Admiral's been very tight lipped about it.

He's a bit difficult to communicate with, unfortunately. [When Charles asked for Erik's powers back, the Admiral told him no and gave him a magnet with a frowny face on it. And that was a good day, all things considered.]

But it is possible to communicate with him?

[Not that she needs to, just yet, but having him handy if she needed to?]

Yes. He'll generally give you an answer, one way or another.

Hm. Well, that's useful I guess. [Not great, but..]

I suppose it's better than no answer. [Most of the time. :V]

Yes. [Quick to answer.] I would rather have some sort of response than nothing at all.

[And how true that rings for a lot of things, lately.]

It seems everyone else is doing a decent job of filling you in on what to expect.

Castiel has the most information so far. [She chuckles.] Actually it's rather handy. I like getting a feel of what's going on. Knowing every angle, so to speak.

Unfortunately, even the people with the most information here don't have all the answers. It's incredibly frustrating, but I've been told after a while, you get accustomed to just accepting that tomorrow you may wake up in the wrong body and there's no use complaining about it. [Charles has not really met this point yet in his time here, but. You never know. :V]

[Well, she's not so sure getting accustomed to that sort of thing is going to come easy, but ... She is here for a reason. And trying as it might be, she's willing to stick it out through whatever comes her way.]

I feel like I should be used to it already, to be honest.

[He likes you already, Pepper.]

Oh yes?

[She chuckles, albeit phantomly morose.]

I thought just working for Stark Industries was hectic. Then two years ago, he goes and builds the Iron Man suit and I think that's when things started getting a little crazy. -Or crazier than usual.

Why on earth would you say something like that? [Teasing!]

[sfvsd] Because it's true!

I'm only teasing, Ms. Potts. I'm very aware of how complicated things get once superheroics are thrown into the picture.

[Huff huff- But it's a chuckled huff.]

Right- sorry. Just a bit. [Vague gestures. Pepper has always been one to overwork herself.]
